Week of Nov. 23rd

This week will be a very busy and extremely short week!

The students will not have regular homework this week, instead they will have assignments to finish, and studying for a quick test.

Monday night's homework:
**Finish the American Revolution Character if you did not finish it in class (this is only a small part of your grade)
**Finish the 1 page Biography to accompany your character. (this part of the project will be most of your grade)
**Both parts are due Tues. Nov. 24th

Tuesday night's homework:
**Finish the 2nd paragraph on the Fighting Ground's Essay. This is the paragraph on the setting. It is due Wed. Nov. 25th
** Study for spelling/vocab test names of 13 colonies.

This week we will not have 20 spelling words, instead the students will only have to study the 13 colonies. They will have to learn them and know how to spell them correctly. These colonies will be their "spelling/vocab" words for the week, and will have a test on Wednesday.

When we return from Thanksgiving break we will have a test on information and facts on the colonies.

This week we will be painting and creating our props for our play "The American Revolution Walk Through". We will be painting all three days probably from about 9:30 until 10:45 or so (approximate times). If there are any parents that would enjoy creating, helping and or directing our acting, painting: boats, bushes, logs, campfires, ect... for our play and would like to help I WOULD GREATLY GREATLY APPRECIATED IT.

All of you (parents & grandparents) that have helped in the creating of our American Revolution Characters, once again Thank You!!!! You are wonderful!

Alright here is a list of the 13 colonies just in case the students left them at school:
Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia

Students here is this week's riddle:

If Delaware was the first colony to become a state in 12-7-1787. How long has Deleware been a state in the United States of America?

Let's see how many can figure this out, write the answer on the back of your spelling test and you will get 3 extra points.
