Rubric for Math Project Chapter 10

Geometry Project

Directions: This will be an in-class project. Students will complete the project as described below as the final geometry assignment for Chapter 10.
Guidelines:
• Required geometric figures-
• 3 triangles – 1 equilateral, 1 scalene, 1 isosceles
• 4 different quadrilaterals – either a square or rectangle, 1 parallelogram, 1 rhombus, 1 trapezoid.
• 1 set of parallel lines – drawn in color
• 1 set of perpendicular lines – drawn in color
• 2 overlapping circles
After drawing the required figures diagonal lines will be drawn to create a “checkerboard” pattern. Students are to use a black felt-tipped marker to finish the checkerboard. The only color in the drawing is the parallel and perpendicular lines.
